Salman, SRK, Aamir keep the suspense on

2012 was a rare year when the trio of Khans released their films and that too in such close succession. While Salman, Shah Rukh as well as Aamir were seen in mood to take an early lead as far as getting the best possible release of their films, the situation is altogether different for 2013.

"Believe it or not but despite all the hype and hoopla around superstars fighting it out to pick and choose the best release date, which in all likelihood falls on a holiday, there is no urgency being shown by either of the three Khans for next year", confirms a trade insider.

This can be seen from the fact that even though there have been on and off talks about Salman arriving with his next film on Eid, the irony lies in the fact that as of now there is no concrete announcement of a film that he would be doing, leave aside the release date. Shah Rukh has at least started working on Chennai Express and would soon be starting shoot for Happy New Year as well. However there is not even an iota of hint being thrown around the time that he wishes to release the film. As for Aamir, plans for Dhoom 3 are yet to be disclosed while there is no tentative date for P.K. either.

"This situation is so different from this year when Salman blocked Eid (Ek Tha Tiger) & Christmas (Dabangg 2) and Shah Rukh stood his ground for Diwali (Jab Tak Hai Jaan). Only Aamir had a flip-flop of plans aroundTalaash", an observer adds.

The ones who have taken an early lead (and that too on holidays) are Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn and Hrithik Roshan. While Akshay's Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2 is confirmed for Eid (before that Bosscomes in June), Ajay's Himmatwala would benefit from being the last release (on March 29) before IPL 2013 kick-starts. Moreover, his Satyagrah too is confirmed for Independence Day arrival. As for Hrithik, he has a bonanza waiting for him next Diwali with Papa Roshan confirming plans for Krrish 3.

Will the Khan trio end up making a sudden attack and end up foiling a plan or two? Wait and watch!
