the problem with the movie was they tried to play too many parallel tracks which got messy in the end!

- suspense thriller (mysterious death)

- supernatural element (Ghost of Simran)

- psychological traumatic depression (death of their son)

However, i do not agree the writer of this article that ghost has to be only visible when AK is in the same screen as it was his imagination.

The fact is Simran was a real living person who died in an incident 3 years ago. She is only visible to AK but that doesn't mean she doesn't exist.

The writers did not clearly explain why Simran needed AK's help to seek revenge or was it peace she was seeking for as her body was buried without any proper cremation/ last rights. Or was this the only way AK's character could make peace with his past and Simran getting her justice.

Coming to justice, why did Simran want all the 4 men dead! She was not raped and murdered like it used to shown on Zee horror show! She was a hooker who went with these 3 men willingly ..the guy who misbehaved is still breathing! Was the revenge because they let her die?? If so, how is shashi and Tehmur responsible?

I think she was taking revenge because all the three left her to die on the road and even Shashi did not take her to a hospital.

they have messed up the movie by changing the script because it was similar to kahaani...there were articles that amir had changed the ending after kahaani came out and that's why they delayed the release of the movie...even amir himself wasn't convinced the way movie has turned out to be...you could tell from his promotional interviews...

yes😊...the movie wascompleted last november and supposed to be released somewhere around the time kahaani was released...so they postponed it and changed the ending...again he wasn't even ready for november release and wanted to postpone it further till next year but i think reliance who bought the movie didn't agree with amir...

May be Simran wanted someone who can take clues from her and solve the case, he was intelligent cop...plus this case was under his custody to collect witnesses.
Also, she wasted to help him in return... by making him realize abt supernatural powers 🤔
and help him overcoming his dead son's trauma

Me too didnt understand why she wanted everyone who didnt save her, DEAD...jail would have done it.
Shashi still tried to save her I believe when Armaan told him to pick her up..he just blackmailed them.may be coz he's bad guy🤔
But I cant Imagine Bhootni doing character sudharo mission😆, so make thm dead
She was angry coz she told naa, ek ladki gayab ho jati hai and no one comes to know abt it

Whatever it is, I will be more than happy if people going to such females get freaked out after watching this movie, my wishful thinking.😃

Maybe there is an explanation to all the time pass that Rosie was doing over the years. Because she was Simran, and she knew she had to get into the skin of Rosie, she was practising hard, knowing well that she would meet Aamir Khan – who believes in practice and research!

Hilarious write up.If this movie would have come after Ghajini,it would be okay,but Talaash released after 3 Idiots and that too Aamir plays the lead after 3 years.And the weak script spoils everything.

Simran killed the 4 people because they left her to die on the road and Shashi burried her.I think she came to Aamir just to express the state of grief with which the prostitutes live where they don't have a policeman to lodge a complain and they dont even exist for the law though in the movie,they showed that Rosy spent time with Aamir because of his mental condition.

IMO, She killed Shashi cause, firstly, he didn't try to earn her justice and secondly, he tried to gain money from her death by blackmailing the four guys.

And she killed Tehmur cause he as well, didn't tell Suri anything and tried to gain money from her death.

This article is very well written. I completely understand the perspective of the write.

But then i would say it depends how you watch the movie and how the movie is executed. Some do like ghost stories and some don't believe in them. I think they were trying to corelate the traumatic mental state of Aamir Khan with Kareena Kapoor's image. Anyhow, it is not easy to accept the climax!
