Its the Indians, not just bw, we are the biggest racist ever. A south Indian makes fun of a bengali and punjabi accent, a punjabi makes fun of a tamil accent and offcourse we have the unofficial representatives of her majesty the Queen who think they have impeccable English and iimpeccable accent. Real knowledgable person will never criticize other people or their accent.
In bw, Kjo is the biggest fake when it comes to accent. I would love to see some proper snob celeb making fun of his english and his accent.
And the two people in bw, who actually speak good english and do not have a pronounced " Indian" accent, Srk and AB never make fun of anyone's accent, atleast not on camera. offcourse die hard fans and dislikers can point me to relevant video.
As an India, with a distinct Indian regional accent, I have seen its the Indians who are bothered more about accent and how one speak english and their apparant shame. my european friends and colleagues have no issues with my accent and neither do I have with them.
Expressing yourself properly is the most important thing. Offcourse its an added perk when you speak like Sushmita Sen. But I think its better to oil own's machine and mind one's accent.
BTW I dislike fake accent. It irks me. I would rather face tons of mocking and mock people back for their double standard than adopt a fake accent. Offcourse when you have lived in a country for 5-8 yrs, you tend to have an accent, but not when you just pass over the airport.
