Comparing Asoka and One 2 Ka 4 to AAA and Sholay is not cool. And sorry but Sholay was declared flop after first week but when business boosted after following week. It became one of the biggest ATBB. And AAA. was a flop. But now is called cult classic but I don't see Asoka and O2K4 getting same titles. All films air on TV, Tees Maar Khan, Veer, Billu, and Drona has aired on Star Plus millions of times within last year. AAA was one of the highest selling VCR ever.

Finally, I also think there is bunch of bullshit written in that article and therefore I thought of staying away from it.

kank was horrible and i do not call a movie on extra maritial relations a risk. now you guys taking risk to another level as to meaning change in image. this way several actors took risks in their career. the only actor who truly took risks and in my unbiased opinion is Aamir.

I like Aamir as an actor, hate as a person, but I think his movies are safe cause the main thema is similar.
TZP is about the bad education system, 3 Idiots is about bad education system as well. Rang the Basanti is about bad political system. Lagaan & Mangal Pandey is also about bad, colonial political system. He knows exactly India's audience love to see people fighting with bad people in the name of their country. The characters he portrayed in these movies are very similar IMO.

his movies work because they are innovative and different. He never tries a safe formula as your saying- if that be the case why didn't aarakshan work with saif, it was also on a good fight against bad theme!

TZP was a risky project- it was against welcome which was a pure masala yet it worked, it was a big risk!

For what ?? u cnt always be more successful than your countepart... SRK is doing exceedingly well as his past three movies hav scored above 100crores n all his movies hav got hit status... it depends on how much SRK crave for...you cnt make CDI or Swades everday. 😆

the type (genre) of movies he has worked hav done best of business possible...be it Ra one Don2 or JTHJ.😆

Shah Rukh Khan is back to his favourite genre — romance

Although his last offering successfully rode on the Diwali wave, it got mixed critical reviews. But Shah Rukh Khan says he chooses films not just for the sake of prosperity and posterity. King Khan needs something more -- belief in the director and the crew involved in a project.

Over the past few years, after doing films such as My Name is Khan, Don and Ra.One, King Khan is back to his favourite genre -- romance -- with Jab Tak Hai Jaan. However, the actor maintains that he usually chooses his movies on impulse but doesn't take his job or stardom for granted.

"I totally love the people associated with a film. I remember when Ashutosh (Gowariker) came to me with Swades, I was keener on doing Jodhaa Akba but he asked me to be part of this film as he wanted to dedicate it to his father. I instantly agreed. After all, he's one of my earliest friends from the industry and I believed in his vision for Mohan Bharghav," he reminisces.

A similar backdrop resonated with his decision to make Chak De! "My dad loved hockey and I played the sport very well too. So, although I had to sport a beard, with a dozen unknown girls and no songs to lip-sync, I agreed to the idea. It turned out to be wonderful."

When asked whether there will be a sequel to his first big screen superhero venture -- which was a commercial setback for him -- SRK sounds rather optimistic. "I won't rule out the possibility because Ra.One could become a franchise in the long run. We might call the second film Ra.Twoor something but we don't have a script yet so we'll have to hold on to our thoughts here," sums up the actor-producer.

Agree. He should start doing films which suites him and his age. Like CDI, Swadesh . He has achieved everything in his career. Now its time to do some experiment with roles?
