I think his look in gunday suppose to be clean shaved and that's why SLB was yelling at him for shaving he's beard and he had to use a fake one in the movie

Ranveer is definitely supposed to have a beard in Ram Leela...I remember reading an article where Bhansali was mega pissed off with him because he shaved it off for a Gunday photoshoot or something.

He did look bad in BBB. But what made him click was his character. It was just such a stupid, normal, flirtatious guy that had stupid jokes. Hard not to like him because his character was so fun. But he looks a little gross in the second picture.
