In India also Shahrukh's movies do better in multiplexes than in single screens...
I don't know how to say this...I hope no one is offended...but do the educated people like him more than the less educated one...I am not saying that educated people are better or anything...but just trying to understand...whay ceratin group would like masala more and the other group likes romantic/family dramas more...

Its more because his movies are more geared towards "women". You'll hardly find guy fans for SRK like Salman or Bachchan before him. Single screen's are dominated by men while multiplexes by women and families. The same happens "overseas". Since its mostly families they prefer watching a family oriented drama. SRK is the king of romance and romance is always going to appeal more to women.

really ????? and i watched this movie on first day and there were hardly 15 ppl in the theater and that's why i always believed this movie was flop overseas and it was actually flop and I love this SRK movie a lot and this one actually didn't work overseasi think he is popular bcz when overseas market started growing up ( DDLJ times ) it was SRK romance time and NRI audience always loved romantic movies and specially YRF and Kjo movies and being the hero of such movies he became popular overseas ... now days other kind of movies too work but romantic movies r always the priority for overseas audience ...

I think Chak De in general opened poorly but caught on with excellent WOM and raving reviews, definitely in India it opened poorly.
In my theater, first day first show, it was mostly empty, but in the next few days, I heard people were fighting for seats. 😆
there you go choco...same here.😆btw...i saw chak de 3x on big screen. what a movie.
I agree. All the ladies from 5yrs kiddo to 80 yrs old women love SRK and his wit.😳 SRK has his female fans ,like Salman has his male fans. After a point good sense prevails and male fans stop idolizing Salman but ladies still love SRK.. 😆 N all the ladies drag their family to watch SRK's movies.😆
Apparently SRK fan called Ram Sharma leaked the movie online https://x.com/salmanicarman/status/1906265773946880184?s=46...
