I know...I think how Shahrukh carries himself off screen...has a lot to do with his popularity...I know sometimes he does lose his cool but most of the time he oozes class and sophistication...remember his YALE speech??Day Dreaming

😆well its ur choice whatever u wanna assume ... just bcz u love SRK does not mean he is God and everything related to him will be just perfect and every theater with his movie will be houseful and every person will praise him

i also watched WUS on first day and there were hardly 10 ppl and when i watched with my family after one week theater was full ... and i can give u one whole list ... i mentioned CDI as a reply to someone bcz its a topic abt SRK

@ BI - Good luck with the topic ...topic has already been changed 😉. some ppl won't let any healthy discussion happen ... Do SRK pooja otherwise fights ...but still Hope u find out ur answer 😛

I don't know how to say this...I hope no one is offended...but do the educated people like him more than the less educated one...I am not saying that educated people are better or anything...but just trying to understand...whay ceratin group would like masala more and the other group likes romantic/family dramas more...

Its more because his movies are more geared towards "women". You'll hardly find guy fans for SRK like Salman or Bachchan before him. Single screen's are dominated by men while multiplexes by women and families. The same happens "overseas". Since its mostly families they prefer watching a family oriented drama. SRK is the king of romance and romance is always going to appeal more to women.

I agree. All the ladies from 5yrs kiddo to 80 yrs old women love SRK and his wit.😳 SRK has his female fans ,like Salman has his male fans. After a point good sense prevails and male fans stop idolizing Salman but ladies still love SRK.. 😆 N all the ladies drag their family to watch SRK's movies.😆

I think Chak De in general opened poorly but caught on with excellent WOM and raving reviews, definitely in India it opened poorly.

In my theater, second day first show, it was mostly empty, but by the next week, I heard people were fighting for seats. 😆

i think he is popular bcz when overseas market started growing up ( DDLJ times ) it was SRK romance time and NRI audience always loved romantic movies and specially YRF and Kjo movies and being the hero of such movies he became popular overseas ... now days other kind of movies too work but romantic movies r always the priority for overseas audience ...

😆

really? well even i was not too interested in chak de india, thats why i waited for 3 wks before jumpin on the bandwagon.😆
the movie started slow. there was hardly any promotion and there was NO ROMANCE. that sure kept us ladies AWAY.😆

but the wom grew and bingo, from wk 2 it was running packed houses.

Chak De's promos were boring and no romance kept away a lot of the fans initially. Plus women and sports...you get the picture? 😆 I was determined to watch though, especially with raving reviews. 😆

Hahaha my dad grumbled so much when I dragged him off to watch CDI (my sister was like "hockey, how boring!" and refused to come so my mother had to stay behind with her)...and at the end, he was like that was AWESOME, we should go watch again and he hates Shah! 😆

My theater was too far away at that time, or I would have watched more times on big screen..but I've seen it so many times since..such an awesome girl power movie and HOW did Shah deliver na? 🥳 LOVED every second of it!

You calling us women stupid? 😆

Hahah, no wonder the men hate Shah...poor them are dragged to theaters to watch a bunch of romance flicks because of their wives/GF's/daughters/ etc. 😆
