SRK breaks'no-kiss' rule for katrina

It's official now.

Shah Rukh Khan has broken his 'no-kiss-on-the-lips' clause for Yash Chopra's 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan'.

And, he chose to do it with none other than his arch rival Salman Khan's one-time girlfriend Katrina Kaif.

Despite being touted as one of India's most celebrated romantic hero, Shah Rukh has never kissed any of his reel lovers through this two-decade-long acting career.

And, it took Yash Chopra to make Shah Rukh step out of his comfort zone and break his no-kissing rule.

After romancing so many pretty ladies like Kajol, Madhuri Dixit, Preity Zinta and Kareena Kapoor, with whom he had share such great chemistry one wonders what prompted him to go all out with Katrina.

Is this because she's irresistible or is it his way of getting back at Salman Khan.

The kiss in 'JTHJ', however, is just a brush on the lips. And it occurs not once, but thrice in the course of the three-hour-long movie.

SRK had, until now, maintained that he had only two clauses before signing a movie, one that he won't kiss his leading lady and two, that he won't ride a horse!

Apparently, his reasons for not indulging in a lip-lock on-screen was because he didn't know how to do it. "I don't kiss on screen because I don't know how to do it. I don't do it because I feel weird...and I feel those who do it in films, do it well already," he had told the Indian media.

He even insisted that if he a film requires him to do things that make him uncomfortable then he'd rather not act in it.

The discomfort is evident during all three kisses in 'JTHJ', no doubt.

It might also have to do with Salman Khan, who is evidently close to Katrina Kaif, and how this tiny, peck will irk him immensely.

Even the few, intimate scenes between Shah Rukh and Katrina remain heavily choreographed and devoid of any passion. It's almost as if they were aware of how Salman would react, and hence decided to hold back, just a bit.

Surely, they were wary of how Salman would react to such acts of love, especially since Katrina and Salman had refused to lock lips while filming 'Ek Tha Tiger'.

Whatever the repercussions, 'JTHJ' will stand to benefit immensely from this new record of sorts.
