I feel the same...wanna re-run all his movies. Out of all that I've seen, my favourite has become Lamhe quite recently. Its such an underrated movie...the simplicity through which such complex issues were handled was incredible. There were some genuine relationships between characters. Its a must watch...I only saw it some days before Yash ji passed away and loved it so much. JTHJ will serve as a sweet memory for many...I don't like how ppl are comparing it to earlier works (in order to trash it somehow ...even if done unintentionally). If he decided to quit filmmaking, its not a given that the last work will (or is "supposed") to be the most epic of all! I mean even Veer Zaara (a highly appreciated film) could come close to his earlier works like Deewar or Silsila. And JTHJ is quite a different movie...the only consistent being the same essence of love portrayed between characters.
Lamhe? It always leaves me with lots of questions and good ones. Was Kunwarji always in love with Pallavi? Did he ever stop loving her? Was Pooja his consolation to fill the void of never having been loved back by Pallavi? Kunwarji was always in love with Pallavi , i believe. ...Daai Maa was my fave character in the film. And that shot of a stunning Sridevi dancing in deserts with Morni Baaga ma in the background is haunting.
JTHJ was never meant to be an epic. It became so because of Yashji's demise. Why compare it to his other works? An artist himself cannot compare his works, then who are we to do that?
