I broke perceptions after SRK & Vidya: Ayushmann

Although he's only one film old, things have worked out well for TV anchor and actor Ayushmann Khurana post Vickyy Donor.

Ayushmann continues to be a popular face on television and he recently hosted the People's Choice Awards (Indian version).

And the actor feels that it's post his debut film that people have started respecting him more. Says Ayushmann, "Cinema is huge in India. First people saw me as an anchor but now, my life is in a different light altogether".

Ayushmann is also glad that he moved from a TV background into cinema, contrary to what happens to most big stars. "I'm glad it was a gradual transition from TV to cinema and I did not achieve success overnight"

And his hard work has paid off. Unlike many TV stars who do not get their due in the film industry, the multi talented Ayushmann believes otherwise, "I broke that perception and before me, shahrukh khan and Vidya Balan also did the same".

Now that he's here to stay, Ayushmann looks up to his icon in the industry, the one and only Big B.
