Both of them (Rani and Kareena) wanted to cash in the success of what Vidya Balan got with The Dirty Picture.They thought after Silk,they would also enjoy Mahi and Meenakshi.Not to forget the positive reviews and mass appreciation Vidya got for Silk and the National Award.They both thought they will repeat this trend and tried to outdo Vidya but like Manoj said,concentrated only on their characters and not the script of the film.Isliye tai tai phiss.

^Yeah she did sign the film before TDP but there were news reports of Kareena asking Madhur to make Mahi more bold after watching TDP.

There was NOTHING in heroine except maybe mild language and a lovemaking scene that is as mild as Katrina in New York and much more tame than PC in Aitraaz and Fashion.

Unfortunate but what the article says is true. The almost married actress decide to go bold to show they still have their sex appeal intact. Only male stars who went thru a similar phase are Govinda and Rajesh Khanna. Incidentally both also did bold roles in B grade films.

i havent watched Heroine but i heard the script was changed when kareena was on board the story of Heroine with Aish was way different than the one with Bebo going by all the reviews i read the disastrous performance of the movie was because of the weak(changed ) script if i m not wrong the script only revolved around her character others had practically no layers or scope .As far as the bold scenes r considered who knows MB might have edited in the final draft or "phamous" censor board .with rani the bold part blends as far as bebo is concerned its the entire package including boldness
