None are (conventionally) good looking and all seem to have darker skin tone and arrived in the BW with no connections. But all had a good shot at being a mainstream Hero.

as far as Big B and srk is considered i agree they r not good looking but the thing is they clicked in BW when they groomed themselves in short try to be something different than they actually are .look at Baachan in saath hindustani or Anand for the fact and look at the Bachan in MKS deewar he had to change himself i dunno if it was only for the role or for acceptance given his physicality also the Srk of kabhie kabhie or anjaam ramjaane did they actually click i maybe wrong but SRK attained the superstardom only after the transformation as the cute handsome romantic hero will the SRK of kabhie kabhie click if he was in DDLG i dont think

thats the sad part of BW:(

the famous and the rich 's death also becomes a big news and the funeral gets attended all the BW jamaat but someone like Hangal has to die in penury not even one from the so called fraternity bothers to turn up at his funeral

As for an unconventional looking hero that BW would accept? Sure, they can but this hero will 99.99% of the time have to be a star kid--like Arjun Kapoor who came just this year...or if it's someone like Ranveer, then he has to be backed by a big PH like YRF and have tons and tons of talent. Warna bye bye...

Also... I feel like BW has far prettier women than handsome men. In fact Varun and Sid might the first good looking male debuts in years..perhaps that's why all the girls are crazy about them. 😆

unconventional looking is accepted only if ur father is famous rich or some hotshot producer

all i m asking is say some 1 from north eastern or whose dark skinned has immense talent more than the so called good looking buffoons yeah all the sids ranveer varuns are included there will he get a chance

the truth is the former might not even get chances and the later has to be transform himself to be accepted here u see in BW being dark skinned is taboo

He was noticed in his career with flicks like Deewana, Kabhi haan kabhi naa, Baazigar and Anjaam which were not the conventional hero type flicks those days

i agree but the super stardom he got only after he became the typical Yashraj hero the cute super romantic good looking Raj rajhuls etc

I am more curious about North Eastern looking folks- do we have any of those? The last I remember is Danny Denzongpa but he was famous as villain not hero.

rani has become shades lighter than she was remember her in Raja ki ayegi baraat even she had to transform herself to become the quintessential yashraj or dharma heroine

@ bold No we dont have i dont think BW will ever have .BW can make NE folks either villian or comic but never a Hero
