it's all right, they just came to India after having a great plan.:P Dr. Nene is far more inteligent, and don't forget Madz's brains. She was a medical student too for few years, then moved in to films and unable to aomplete sudies.

A surgeon can't make as much money as a movie star. I'm sure they moved back because they could make WAY more money being in India. Even if she gets no movies, she can keep doing reality shows and advertisements. She will still be earning a lot more than her husband did in the US.

Soon Dr Nene will be hanging his cloak and will be seen glued to Madhuri with an appointment diary and mobile phone. Bahut samajhdaar aadmi hai, Dr Sahib.

I like Dr. Nene. He seems genuinely supportive of his wife. The kids are cute and seem grounded. Her parents are back with her - they must be happy to back here as well - they seem to be getting on in age - and it is so much better to be in your own home turf as you age. He seems to hold their hand whenever he is with them - he seems really nice.
It takes a big man to step back for a bit and let his wife find her footing again. I think he is probably waiting for his medical license and will be a visiting surgeon at KEM soon. With that on his resume - he should have no issues getting back on a good hospital's payroll back in the US. It would be hard to build up a practice though.
Wonder why it is taking so long to get that license, considering Shiv Sena runs the corporate office and Bal Thackeray is only a phone call away for her.
I don't think that he has anything to do with her career choices - including the secretary she hires. I think they are just using his name to keep things neutral - its worse if she sacks Rikku openly.

He is not a top doctor. He is a regular surgeon and he wasn't in a huge metropolitan area like New York either. That reduces salaries. Not to mention that he's fairly young so he wouldn't even be established for such a long time to make that much money. Surgeons are usually still doing their residency into their 30's. They make very little money in that time. The also have a lot of college and medical school loans to pay off. Madhuri's money was probably supporting him during the early part of his training. 😆

Well - just throwing my two cents in about the money. I think that Dr. Nene was probably doing well - not great - but well. He probably had a start up practice but has probably not given himself enough time for it to take off really well.
About the cost of being sued - all doctors in the US have medical insurance. His earnings were probably just fine considering they lived in Denver - hardly expensive compared to New York or LA.

As for converting his earnings from dollars to rupees - honestly - India is not the India of the 80's anymore. Folks here earn very well - and things are as expensive as they were in the US.
So if you earn 400,000 in the US and say but that is 2 crores in India - well, in Mumbai that would buy you a pokey two bedroom flat in Chembur, while you could buy a really huge house in Houston with that money.

I think they moved for the kids, for her and for her parents.
