I am a BIG Vidya fan and I definitely feel Vidya does not have what it takes for the role. Kareena is definitely the one who can play the egoistic glamorous star. Vidya is a remarkable actress but she does not have the panache nor the figure needed for this role.

The movie is bad..too over the top..and I guess it is due to Kareena..it might have been more subtle if Vidya was in it..

it would have been boring if vidya did it she doesnt have the spunk & bitchy big ego attitude that kareena has already so she was basically playing her self again in the film

First of all, no because she already did TDP, then why do another movie based on a life of an actress?

Secondly, going by the reviews, I don't think any actress could have saved the film from its horrible writing, script, screenplay or direction - nope, not even Vidya.

Thirdly, I don't think it's Kareena's fault. She has gotten positive reviews mostly, so this just leads back to my second point.

Fourthly, I think Kareena had that glamorous spunk to play the character of Mahi Arora. I can't imagine Vidya in it. She is a classic beauty.
