Looking at the tepid response to HEROINE (😭), Madhur should have been a little bit more selective and thought about box office returns and critical appreciation. Sometimes I wonder, why didn't he cast VIDYA? VIDYA has proven her worth and won awards the last 2 years. Didn't MADHUR want to cash in?! 😕 If Vishal Bhadwarj, Milan Luthria, Rajkumar Gupta can work with her, was MADHUR sitting another rock or smoking something? And after all, she is a National Award winner. I am not discrediting BEBO's performance. But, at the end of the day, box office matters. 😉 VIDYA could have easily made this film cross over 50 crores. After all, "My name is Balan, not BEBO." 🤣 Should VIDYA have done HEROINE instead of KAREENA? Please share your thoughts!!!! 👏

vidya would not have done justice to it in terms of looks may be? and with her wouldnt it seem really repetitive? i am sure the kind of challenging actor she is even she would not have been excited doing something so similar to TDP

Why he should hav casted Vidya...teh reviews clearly said the story was flawed not Kareena ??

Vidya would have turned it down even if she was offered Heroine. She already did the Dirty Picture and this would be too similar. The script was also pretty bad and she is better at selecting her work than Kareena is.

No no... i dont think so!

No one can impersonate an impulsive, egoistic heroine as well as Kareena can!

No one can beat Kareena when it comes to those "I-am-number-one", I-am-THE-diva , etc expressions. At the same time act so well as a traumatised, sensitive heroine. She can fit into any kind of demeanour/character. She's very versatile and she deserved to star this movie :)

Isn't Heroine that good compared to Fashion? I haven't watched it so can't really comment on the output

But coming back to the topic, I doubt if Vidya portrays the glamorous life of today's Bollywood heroine. She's a class act no doubt but when it comes to glamour, fashion and looks wise, which by the way are the most important aspects of an actress at present, she's quite behind from the rest
