Amir just has never done a fully negative role so I am excited to watch Dhoom 3 for that. What I love about Ranbir is that he puts acting above everything else, his work speaks volumes. Whatever he does in his personal life, he does not let it interfere with the product he delivers.

Watch 1947 The Earth...He is as scary as any hardcore negative character out there...

On the topic...I totally agree that Ranbir is miles ahead of the Khans or for that matter any established star of today in terms of acting...He is a born actor and hence didn't take much to get into the groove unlike the Khans or the Kumars who took forever to establish themselves...

The best thing about him is he that he isn't afraid of experimenting...a trait which is seriously lacking in two of the three Khans and Akshay Kumar...

Am I mssing something here?😕 I don't see anything gr8 in Ranbir's acting, though haven't watched Rockstar and it seems tht's where he has peaked. Also wat little i've seen him in the Barfi trailers, his actions seem too exegarated, no subtelty. In fact I have been disappointed by Ranbir.
Also difficult to comapre Ranbir wid the Khans as dey r of a totally different eras. The movies made today r much better and of varied kinds then movies of the 90s, though don't know Y ppl r crazy abt the 90s.
Also amongst the present male actors Ranbir maybe the best and doing diverse roles, but some of the female actors too r doing varied roles like PC, DP, Vidya, Kareena etc.

This is ajoke or what ? let the man be ahead of his generation and then we can talke .If you want to talk about the BO power then the idea itself kill the conversation and if you want to talk about acting skills then he is just good and so overated from the media AND HIS CLASSIC PERFORMANCE IN ROCKSTAR IS ONE OF THE MOST MOST MOST OVERATED and yes the film is acrap one .If you think the idea of making non massala film many many star do it and many of them make these kind of film work so its not abig deal at all .

I like Ranbir's choice of cinema and yes he's a good actor but I feel he hasn't reached the stardom these 3 Khans have. He maybe the most popular actor in India but outside, he's yet to conquer the mass. It's too early to predict his future but he's a clever actor so if all goes well, who knows? He might be a bigger star than the Khans. Only time could tell that

It's so funny that every Tom, Dick and Harry gets compared to the Khans; especially SRK whenever they enter Bollywood. But not many have survived for 20 + years with super stardom like the Khans have. That's why I feel nobody can beat the Khans. They can reach where the Khans are at but not surpass them. I'll be fascinated if Ranbir does that in years to come

Ranbhir is definitely a brilliant actor. He has talent and a lot of potential that cam him further. Though I wouldn't want to comment on the "ahead of Khans" part. Honestly, it's not about the Khans or the Kapoors, it's the talent. Some films work others don't.

And as far as Barfi goes, I think I'm going to like this movie. It has Ranbhir and PC (<3) in it and I really liked the promos.
