Akshay Kumar takes a dig at Aamir Khan

With two back-to-back 100 crore grossers in the form of ROWDY RATHORE and HOUSEFULL 2, it is quite apparent that Akshay Kumar is finding himself at a career peak all over again. For someone who was waiting for a biggie like this for some time now, seems like it is a big monkey off his back. After all, he has managed to accomplish this feat at just the right time when it was pretty much awaited by one and all.

Laughs Akshay, "Forget the monkey, I feel like I have been carrying King Kong on my back ever since the release of that first film (GHAJINI) which smashed the 100 crore mark a few years back. Aamir, you set some high standards my friend! In this industry it's never about what you have accomplished in the past. If you're not breaking records or setting trends today, you are in trouble mate!"

The actor acknowledges the fact that he was aware of the numbers being accumulated by his peers.

"One has to stay in the game for it's one hell of a hard monkey chain to climb if you don't. Moreover there is no such thing as free bananas in this line of business. I know that without a blink of an eye, my happiness can be taken away from me at any moment. This is how nature works," reasons Akshay before signing off.

Now one waits to see which are the records that would be broken and created in months to come once Akshay's films like JOKER, OMG - OH MY GOD!, KHILADI 786 and SPECIAL CHABBIS arrive one after another.
