It's the contestants and their antics that raise the TRPs, not the host.

That Salman Khan keeps his set members, producers and even directors waiting is part of his stardom. Latest buzz from his waiting game is that the channel Colors is starting to see red. Having patiently waited for months on end for Sallu to give them his dates for the sixth season of Bigg Boss, the channel heads are now finding themselves in a tight spot with just over a month left for shooting to commence.

The buzz was that the star will take off for his treatment for a brief period and will then commence work on Sher Khan, and that arrangement seems to have put the channel in a spot. The unavailability of Salman seems to be causing further delay in the show. "The contestants and the other arrangements are already in place. Normally the show goes on air in September. It was delayed last year because of Khan's unavailability. Looks like this year too, it will be the same scenario," says our source from the channel.But like Sallu always lives up to his commitment, the channel is hoping that he will, from time to time, allot dates for their show. "We might rope in another actor as well to fill in for Khan but right now no definite plans have been chalked out," adds our source.

Instead of paying 3-4 Cr an episode to this douche they should start paying the contestants more and get better ones. I don't know one single person who watches the show because of Salman.

I have watched every single season of BB...that is the only Indian show that I watch..reality or soap...I have never watched it because of Salman...but I do like Salman as a host better than the others...

Please change the host. People watch the show for the contestants, not the host. And yeah, many a time I would forward the video (thanks to YouTube), just to get to the show and avoid his bakbak!

Yea Blue Ice, I don't know of anyone that watches Big Boss for Salman either. We all watch it for the trainwreck entertainment it provides. Who gives two hoots about Salman on Big Boss. These producers are clearly thinking out from where the sun don't shine. Bunch of demented people. 🤬

Well, I'd say bring ANYONE, as long as the show doesn't fall behind on its schedule. Like, seriously, this has to be the most retarded excuse ever.

I've been literally counting my stars for the show to get back on TV, and here we are, with a news that's causing me to bring out my spiteful self!

Indians have this misconception about the star system. They should concentrate on innovative marketing campaigns instead of getting stars to endorse products, host TV shows like the West does.

I have a hard time believing a person who prefers Pepsi over Coke will switch to Coke because their favorite star endorses it.

Similarly, Bigg Boss has its audience. If the show has interesting people people will watch it. Sallu's first season was a disaster in terms of TRP before Dolly Bindra rescued the show.

Get a non-star entertaining host and get the ball rolling. Save some money and use it to dish out a better product.

I have never watched a single episode of Big Boss till now. I m planning to watch this time, with or without Salman hosting the show.
