Ek Tha Tiger Second Monday Collection Update.

Ek Tha Tiger has shown significant drop across all India on Second Monday. Sample datas as received from Delhi, Gurgaon, Mumbai, drop is 60%+ on average from 2nd Sunday. This kind of drop is significant but normal as ETT has entered into 13th day and it is a working day. Also, with huge widescreen releases drop will be significant.

Occupancy for Monday Morning and Noon shows are around 20-25% on average. Delhi is stable with 30%+ occupancy. But Mumbai is showing huge drop with an occupancy of 20%+. ETT has already collected 172 crore nett in 12 days from box office and is a huge success at the box office. 2nd weekdays will add up to the business of ETT. Evening and Night shows will pick up, but it will be marginal being a working Monday. Occupancy for Evening and Night shows should be 35-40% range. As per early trends, Ek Tha Tiger should collect around 3+ crore nett around on 2nd Monday.

Ek Tha Tiger had a solid second weekend with collections likely to come in at around 19-20 crore nett. Friday was around 4.50 crore nett and Saturday was 6.25 crore nett and Sunday should come in at around 8.50-9 crore nett.
The film has grossed around 163 crore nett after its second weekend which is phenomenal and considering the huge first week, the second weeknd collections are also very good. Only Three Idiots, Dabangg and Rowdy Rathore have collected more in their respective second weekend's. Films like Ready, Housefull 2 and Golmaal 3 all collected in the same range as Ek Tha Tiger but these films were not coming off a huge extended first week.
If we compare with Bodyguard which was releases in the same period last year that film grossed 14.25 crore nett over its second weekend. Ek Tha Tigershould do around 30 crore nett over its second week.

BOI says its only 163 n other saying its 172 plus dats a big diff...

I think 163 they are saying excluding the Monday Bussiness . 173 is the amt which is right now including the Monday business.

But the movie witnessed a big jump in its business on Sunday. The breakup of its second weekend collection is Rs 4.50 cr on Fri, Rs 6.30 cr on Sat and Rs 10.20 cr on Sun.
However, Ek Tha Tiger has already become a blockbuster movie of the year beating records of all previous Hindi films. The movie has crossed Rs 200 crore mark at the worldwide Box Office on Saturday. Salman Khan is a magnetic pull: Bela Sehgal

Bela Bhansali Sehgal is cherishing the positive response for Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi. However, claims that when it comes to box office, Salman Khan is a magnetic pull.

Word of mouth helped Bela's film get more people at the ticket window, while Salman's movie continued to ring the bell at the box office. "Ek Tha Tiger is a movie on bigger scale. Salman is a magnetic pull and his charisma works for his films. I don't have many theatres for Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi. The ratio between the two films is largely different," said Bela.

"I love Salman and couldn't get time to watch Ek Tha Tiger because of my hectic schedule. However, I will make sure to go and see the film," added the director.

Bela plans a vacation, but is currently enjoying the attention by the audience. "I am planning to go for a vacation as I spent sleepless nights working on the film. Now, I am happy that people are enjoying the film and I think that's the biggest compliment. It's a wonderful feeling to see people going in groups to enjoy the movie," concluded Bela.

Even aliens are copying Salman Khan!

Such is the craze for Salman Khan everywhere that even the onscreen extraterrestrials cant help but copy the blockbuster superstar.

A week away from its release, filmmaker Shirish Kunder introduces alien Golkot with the new promo of Joker and says that the alien is fan of Salman Khan in the movie.

"Golkot is a big fan of Salman Khan and strikes the same pose as he did in Ek Tha Tiger. I am sure Salman will find this quite funny," Kunder said in a statement.

"Joker" also stars Sonakshi Sinha, Shreyas Talpade and Minissha Lamba. It revolves around a fictitious place, Paglapur where an Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) once landed and how it changed the lives of people.

New promo of "Joker" resembles the poster image of Salman's recent blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger and Shirish Kunder worked with international experts to make it.

Jointly produced by UTV Motion Pictures, Akshay Kumar's Hari Om Productions and Farah Khan-Shirish Kunder's Three's Company Productions Pvt, the film hits theatres Aug 31.
