Waxing eloquent: Sachin Sharma with Julia Roberts' wax statue in Madame Tussauds wax museum in London |
He's back on the small screen after a short break with Sony's Vaidehi, where he plays the lead opposite Pallavi Kulkarni. Sachin Sharma is also set to join the cast of Rajshri's drama Pyar Ke Do Naam, Ek Raadha Ek Shyaam.
Under one roof
The actor recently made a short trip to London to meet a couple of producer friends and learn filmmaking from them. During his stay, he visited the world famous Madame Tussauds wax museum and came back all starry-eyed. "That's one roof, which has the world whole world underneath it. You name the actor and they have his statue."
Main bhi kabhi
Talking about his love for travelling and visiting places, he says, "I really enjoy visiting places I haven't been. Museums always interest me, when they are exhibiting collectibles and rare things."
Sachin's favourite memory of his Tussauds visit was when a fan came and exchanged greetings with him. "I didn't think when the biggest stars around the world are here, anyone would recognise me. It felt amazing when people came and said they watched my shows and enjoyed the work."
Does he ever imagine a statue of him appearing in the museum? "Why not, that would be like my biggest dream come true. Nothing is impossible if one is reading to work hard and aim for the sky."
AB is the best
Which was his favourite among all the statues he saw? "We have Mr Bachchan brushing his shoulders with some of the Hollywood stars. It feels great to see an Indian representation among every one else. I also liked Julia Roberts' statue, where they duplicated her million dollar smile really well."
Does he plan to go there on another visit? "Definitely, it's a place worth visiting as often as you can."
