She may be hot as hell and acting may be her forte, but Deepika Padukone's first love would always be sports. Badminton to be precise. Although most of us are already aware of the fact, but we would mention it nonetheless for those who came in late; Deepika is the daughter of Prakash Padukone, an ace Badminton player of his times and the first Indian to win the most prestigious tournament of all, the All England Badminton Championship. The actress was naturally good at the sport and even played professionally when she was younger. But when Bollywood came calling, the sportsperson in her was overpowered by the budding actress.
As they say, once a sportsman, always a sportsman, Deepika Padukone could relate with this phrase the most amongst all. Every professional sportsman, irrespective of where he comes from, holds a dream of playing in the Olympics, the ultimate test of vigour. Ms Padukone was no different. She always wanted to play at least one professional match at the grandest stage, but it went unfulfilled. But according to latest reports, the actress has expressed a desire to be a part of the Olympics in some way or the other i.e., if not as a part of the team but at least cheering for it at the event.
