I doubt that, Ghajini released first, and if I'm right, crossed 100 crores, Aamir led the way.

First South Indian masala remake was done by Sunny Paaji in 2001.

Its called INDIAN.

Abhi Casting bhi nahin hui thi when Sallu Signed Wanted, i didn't said Sallu is No.1 in giving 1st 100 crore, It is Aamir.

South Indian remakes were done even before Ghajini and Wanted, so there is nothing trendsetting there, but it was Ghajini that was the first to cross 100 crore.
