I remember when Poonam sang it on SRGMP...that's the first time I heard this song!

Now, that I'm listening to the original version, I realize how similar the original singer's voice is to Poonam's! 😲

haha, it was a south remake I think. I don't even remember the story to be honest, but the songs are melodious as were all other 90s songs :P.

I loved most of the songs from Viraasat!

even the lesser popular ones, like Haathon Pe Mehendi Laali Racha Ke, and Anu Malik made the music! Tauba tauba

The Filmfare went, for the best music, to Dil Toh Paagal Hain, which I felt was ridiculous.

IMO DTPG didn't offer anything very fresh or new in terms of music.. Viraasat as an album was incredible.

Viraasat songs were really good.. I don't trust Filmfare awards too much but must say the key songs were inspired from Thevar Magan (the original movie). Very rarely does a remake match the original in songs and movie but Viraasat was superb in that way
