In spite of being best buddies, Karan Johar and Kareena Kapoor had a minor altercation when the latter walked out of Kal Ho Naa Ho three years ago.
At that time, Karan promptly replaced her with Preity Zinta; a decision that hurt Kareena immensely and they decided not to work together.
Today, as things stand, the olive branch has been extended by Karan in the form of a film to be directed by Kaal director Soham. So the two are back to working together, putting all the bad blood behind them.
Of course, in the interim period Kareena did appear on Karan's chat show and categorically reiterated that she was keen on working with him. However, Karan refused to budge.
"Now that's history,"says Karan. Sources close to Kareena reveal, "Bebo holds Karan in the highest regard. They are true friends and Karan never allowed his professional difference to interfere in their personal relationship. This truce was inevitable."
Before Kareena left for her world tour recently, the actress was signed by Karan for his next production. "Kareena is definitely a part of my next production,"confirms Karan, who is planning to announce the film after the music launch of Kabhie Alvida Na Kehna.
"It will have a huge star cast and I don't want to talk about it right now,"he says.
When asked about how the two buried the hatchet, he says, "Kareena was always a dear friend. It's not uncommon for friends to squabble.
Now everything is fine and I am happy that Kareena is back to working for us again." Kareena Kapoor was unavailable for comments.
