Speaking of tans, this January I discovered that desis get sunburned too. I grew up in India. Summer vacation meant being up to no good and playing outdoors all day in the hot sun. I got quite dark, but never sunburned myself. I always thought it was white people problems. I visited Brazil in January and was just laying on the beach with no sunscreen. Two days later my shoulder was seared to a crisp and stinging like hell. I had to borrow sunscreen and skin coolant from my friend. My shoulders and nose both got burned and peeled off.
