'Heroine' starlet beheaded, body dumped in septic

A role in Madhur Bhandarkar's film 'Heroine' has turned out to be the last for 25 year old film aspirant Minakshi Thapa. The junior film artiste, who went missing from her Amboli home a month ago has been murdered and two of her associates have been arrested for murdering her in Allahabad.

Minakshi, a Nepalese who settled in Dehradun before moving to Mumbai got her Bollywood break as a junior artiste in Madhur Bhandarkar's ambitious project Heroine opposite Kareena Kapoor.

As per officials of the Crime Branch unit 9, the body of Minakshi was cut into pices and her head was beheaded and dumped in Allahabad.

The accused Amitkumar Jaiswal, 36 and Preeti Elvina Surin, 26, both junior artistes befriended Thapa allegedly on the sets of Heroine.

"Thapa threw an impression to the accused that she was from an affluent family and wanted to try her luck in films as a hobby," said a police source.

"This lured Jaiswal and Surin, who asked Thapa to accompany them to Allahabad for a film shoot scheduled there", said additional commissioner of police (crime) Deven Bharti.

Bharti elaborated, "In Allahabad, when the two accused learnt the truth about Thapa, they killed her. They butchered Thapa's body into pieces, flung her severed head out of a moving bus and the rest of the cut body parts were thrown into a septic tank."

Back in Mumbai, unaware of Thapa's whereabouts, a delegation of Nepalese nationals approached the crime branch, saying that Amboli police had not managed to locate the missing woman. "During the course of questioning Thapa's friends, who also were junior artises in Mumbai, they alerted us about Jaiswal and Surin, who Thapa had accompanied to Allahabad. The two were detained and after interrogation they confessed to have killed the girl," added the Crime branch officials.

"Meenu was too excited about sharing screen presence with Kareena Kapoor, though she was in a crowd as a junior artiste, she said one day I will be that space where this heroine is but destiny had different thoughts for her. We shall wait for the release of Heroine to watch her on big screen," added a friend on basis of anonimity.

What a vicious heinous thing to do!🤬 Jesus! May her family find strength and peace. That is an aweful way to go. Rest in peace. I hope those assholes rot when they are caught.
