The trend of women-centric films, in fact, started way before even Karisma, tbh. I don't see any dig here.

Of course, VB deserves her share of credit as well. She is a great actress, no doubt!

Biwi no-1 is a sheer insult to womenhood.

Not only Karishma but many other actresses have done women-centric films but none of them were as successful as TDP or Kahaanni.

Thats exactly what i was thinking... This is the second or the third time she is harping abt it... Rekha, Madhuri, Sridevi, Urmila etc have done women oriented/performance oriented roles way before she did...

Its only at the end of her career when her movies started flopping or when the demand for her decreased, thats when she went that route.

whatever she said is true...she did many women oriented roles decades ago!! and she is also right that good actors will keep getting good scripts...I see nothing of the sort where she took a dig at VB!

about the topic its not new here in BW the media always disects and permutes quotes of celebs in every plausible way .its just we tend to pick the controversial or the one that can rile members here 😆
