According to the director and the story writer, Agent Vinod is not a remake of the yesteryear's movie of the same name. It is being described as a realistic film, full of action and thrills.The film's shooting has been done in Morocco and Latvia, and some of the portions were shot in Mumbai itself. But, by the looks of it's trailer and Saif's avatar, the film looks to be an inspiration from the Bond series.

An Indian secret agent is compromised and killed, during a crucial fact-finding operation in Moscow, Russia. But, he manages to send a code red message to India, but the message is incomplete as it reaches India.All it contains is a number .Now, Indian secret agency turns towards it's most prolific agent, Agent Vinod. Vinod (Saif Ali Khan) is a very unorthodox man, he loves to just the opposite of what the books say, and this leads him into many dangerous situations. But he manages to get the work done. He finds out that a Russian money launderer is planning an operation against India using the help of terrorists based in Morocco.Vinod leaves for Morocco, where he realises that there is a bigger game plan behind all this and he reaches London ,via almost every part of the world , to find out ultimate conspiracy.

The movie is good, but it looks too inspired from 007. Saif does well as Vinod, Kareena is just a glam-doll (another thing inspired from 007), but overall it just raises the bar in Bollywood for other adventure movies that are to come.
