i never really minded them. but they can be annoying when the whole page is full with only poll topics. its better to have a regular discussion

another thing we give these polls and comparison threads to much importance yet say they are a waste. If you look at recent threads like these you see over 10 pages of comments. People are obviously interested. We stop commenting then members will stop making these threads/polls.😊

Shee: It was just a passing comment. I'm not that active here and few times I glanced, all I could see was the first page filled with nonsensical polls or comparison topics that pushed interesting articles and topics further. I didn't even notice that it was your thread. I just commented and added that remark then left. It was not an intended remark. All this kolaveri for that? :)

As evident from the responses, Maddy-Mandy didn't start this thread because of that one comment. It was the result of perhaps many reports and complaints. It's clear from majority response. I like RTH and MarimbaHidimba's suggestion.

No, comparisions and polls are waste of forum space and only lead to incitement of fans. They dont add any value to discussion, just leading to fights and boosting of egos. Unless something really meaningful is turned into a poll, somehow, even magically😆😆. Also add those topic makers who create senseless star infatuation/obsession posts and some make posts just to coerce others to abide by their opinion or they turn abusive and insulting🤢. These just flood the forum without adding any value. Such threads shd be thrashed.

Polls have gotten out of hand on this forum. I would love it if they're stopped. But Kal El makes sense too. What about one every two weeks (yes, that's how much I have started disliking them)? I mean, there are other ways people can include a meaningful discussion without the use of polls. Or can we just ban useless polls?

Either way, they are just annoying. 😵

Maddy, i'll be honest, maybe biased as many members may say.

Comparison post with reference to acting, is acceptable b'coz at some point everyone does feel tat maybe "A" actor outperformed "B" actor, so a 'healthy discussion' is tolerable.But comparison post as to who is ugly, who is handsome, who is a great human being, who's success is a fluke is plain disgusting.

other thancomparison posts- Commenting on an actors performance is way within the COC of IF, but an actors personal life- his family, sexuality, his looks, his work beyond films is nobody's business. i speak as an SRK fan, n it irritates most of the time u hav to read oh he's a gay, oh he's had multiple one night stands, SRK's wife is fugly, on one post they didn't even spare Suhana...i fail to understand in wat way r such posts entertaining? n at tat times i fail to understand where r the mods? coz i'm aware tat many have reported such posts n no action has been taken, its due to all this tat many of us refrain from visiting the BS.

In one instance v had a member from BS coming to the SRK FC trying to instigate us to have a fight with the non SRK fans during the Shirish slapgate...
