BETTER FILMS/ACTING? HRITHIK or ABHISHEK?!

😉😆 Surely, if we can question the actresses, why not the actors? HRITHIK and ABHISHEK came around the same time. While Hrithik was declared a superstar and great actor from his first film, ABHISHEK struggled for years to make a foothold. Even though HRITHIK has done quite fewer films, he hasn't produced much junk since 2003 after KOI MIL GAYA proved he is serious about his contribution to Hindi cinema. Whereas ABHISHEK is sinking every PASSING day and we wonder, should he just quit and spare us from more terrible performances? But, this guy is going to survive in multi-starrers. Abhishek only truly shined in YUVA and GURU. HRITHIK just has come off a great performance in AGNEEPATH (possibly his fifth best actor Filmfare award) and KRIISH 3 will be a guaranteed blockbuster. His best performances have been JODHAA AKBAR, GUZAARISH, LAKSHYA, MISSION KASHMIR, etc. Please share your thoughts on HRITHIK and ABHISHEK! 😃

Abhishek riding a horse through a train station in a desperate but ultimately futile attempt to get to the heroine speeding away in a train in what I can only assume was a bizarre spoof of DDLJ trumps anything Hrithik has ever done.

Hrithik is far ahead in terms of acting than Abhishek.

Bitter fact, but Abhishek is where he is because of his surname. Being the Bachchan son he has gotten the respect in the industry.

I like Abhi, but I just don't think he's the strongest actor. Everyone expects a lot out of him because he is the SON of legendary actor Mr. Amitabh Bachchan ji. But Abhishek sucks in comparison to his father in the acting department. Of course he's had his share of "good" movies.

But Hrithik is miles and miles ahead!

I find the role of their fathers in their careers interesting. For Abhishek his dad's name has been both a blessing and a curse. He survived because of the name but he can never fulfill the ridiculous expectations that come from it. Meanwhile, for Hrithik there wasn't that kind of expectation and his father has been a lifeline, a boon. Whenever his career was in danger of sinking, Roshan Sr saved him.

Hrithik used to be horrible once upon a time. Omg his crying scenes in K3G and MDK used to make me LOL. And his acting in Yaadein and MPKDH.. oh God. I felt second-hand embarrassment. I know everyone loved KNPH and loved Hrithik from the beginning, but I find the movie so overrated. And I think he was great for a newbie, but then he got the "Best Actor" award for it too, and I was like W*F, were the rest of the nominees that bad? 🤣

But then KMG came out, and I was like, "talk about improvement!" and he really hasn't disappointed me since then in the acting department. He's truly amazing, no doubt! And I like him better than Abhishek. AB makes some enjoyable movies I suppose, like BAB, Dostana, Dhoom series, and he was really good in movies like Guru, but I have always been more stunned with Hrithik's improvement, and how brilliant of an actor he is. I'm not saying AB is absolutely horrendous in acting, but, Hrithik is superior.

I think if Abhishek tried harder he could be a better actor than Hritik but Abhishek doesn't seem to have the drive that other actors (including Hritik) have to really get into their role for e.g. changing their physique / looks etc. I like his comedic roles which I think Hritik would be more of a dud at if he tried them and I like his serious roles like pa / guru etc but honestly I think Hritik works harder than Abhi and hence will end up with more accolades. If only Abhi showed more drive! But I think Abhi also has way too high an expectation placed on him from the start that he knows he really can't ever match and maybe that is why his drive is not really high. He seems like a very nice guy though so for that reason I can't say much against him :)
