Who is the better actress-Karisma or Kajol? - Page 4

I like both...but I think Karishma chose more challenging roles as an actress whereas Kajol didn't but even then, I really like Kajol as an actress..she def can act so I feel it's quite unfair to say she's overrated just like that.

kajol screeching voice always irritated me right from her earlier movies..i was not too fond of karishma but she nailed it completely in fiza zubeidaa and shakti

I love them both, so am undecided. And they also both equally rocked the bush brow.

Karishma simply because she can at least do the sexy roles when needed to be...Kajol, for some reason, just can't...she's more comfy with more homely characters.

Kajol--- acting wise far ahead frm Karishma...

kajol kajol kajol...she made even the most unbearable films watchable with her presence...it was a treat to watch her on screen ...i beg to differ when people say one needs to do an off beat film to be called a serious actress just coz karishma has films like fiza & zubeida in her kitty it doesn't make her a better actress(i'd rather see a tabu or vidya in such films coz the rest of the brigade simply pale in comparison)...i am a fan of karishma the dancer or the fashion icon more than karishma the actress i never really went wow after seeing any of her performances...

Bas hype up karne se popularity milta hai toh,now Kareena/PC would have been the reigning queen NOT Katrina Kaif 😆..SRK did lot of movies with Juhi too.But as a couple they never enjoyed the same kind of popularity SRK-Kajol has .neither did Juhi became a superstar overnight..Its just that Kajol with all her OTTness and screechy acting had some X factors that made her click with the masses.She is not even as pretty as Karisma or a good dancer but something makes her very much likeable on screen..

I agree with you on the part she is overrated as an actress(as you said kjo/yrf connections must have played a role in tht aspect)..But her popularity/stardom isnt.On topic Karisma has better performances to her credit when compared to Kajol.She Is much more versatile and consistent.Very hardworking-.Her acting,dancing and looks improved majorly over time.
I love Kajol and find her natural and spontaneous onscreen.But have to say,Kajol is very lazy.She has potential but never cares to work on her acting or looks.Also she is never willing to attempt something out of her comfort zone.The list of roles she has rejected through out her career makes me roll my eyes.Her reluctance to push the envelope make her filmography appear meek in comparison.
