Quite difficult to say. They both are incredible actresses... I guess I would choose Konkona over Vidya.. but not too confidently haha.

Vidya has a more commercial appeal, but Konkona has picked some genius roles that have allowed her to showcase her talent.

Could it be because she is the underdog here, compared with the other two? Asking 'cause you've always had an aversion to overexposed celebs as you said it yourself. 😆

Your question is valid but unwarranted in this case. 😆 I find Nandita prettier...she has nicer sharper features. She is also a much better actress. Her performance in Fire alone is enough to give these two run for their money. She is also a good director (Firaaq was amazing) so she knows more about films than these two. Besides, I have always liked her. The last is the most important reason, fyi. 😆

Now this I call unfair competition since both the actresses are very good at what they do and given good scripts, they can deliver very powerful performances.

I have seen Konkona in some of her Bengali films and she is pretty good. Thankfully, she does carry her Mother's acting genes in her.

Vidya has grown over the years, with each movie, like taking one step after the other. As a newcomer, she was very good in Parineeta as well.

When we come to the types of films made at national and regional levels, I would say that the regional films have more mature and strategic content, as compared to the Hindi movies. My opinion absolutely. So in that sense Konkona would have had better exposure to roles.

I hope that Vidya also gets good roles, after all at the end of the day, a good performer will always be valued.

I like Nandita also, wish she did more movies, though am sure the industry didn't have anything worthwhile to offer this hugely talented lady.

As for comparissn, it's almost like a scientific experiment. Until and unless the circumstances are same, comparisons are not very fruitful.

Here's wishing that they both get good roles to showcase their talent.

But it's heartening to note that there are so many people who likes Konkona as well. It's very reactionary actually. 😛

But, as of date, I would choose Vidya any day ...

Everyone has an opinion. When Vidya is acting, I'm like what a good actress

But when Konkona is acting, I forget that she's acting, I actually think I'm watching her real life story. I think that's being an amazing actress if you can make people believe that your real life story. When I was watching 15 Park Avenue, I keep thinking that's her in real life

Radhe Shyam Radhe Shayam...what are you talking about! Agari acting ki hi baat hoti ho bollywood pe ek actor hai jiski acting dekhte dekhte neend hi nahi maut bhi aaj sakti hai.
