but the length of that role is nothing comparable to Vidya's

I have to go with Konkana. I am sorry, but although VB makes wonderful choices, she is quite over-rated as a performer. Her performance in TDP was especially heralded for no reason - in my opinion, she didn't stand out even in a single scene! Why on earth did she win a National Award for this? 😕

Konkana is natural and versatile.

This is a hard question. I love them both. While with Konkena I have always liked her work. And I think she has an amazing screen presence. With vidya...I use to think she was boring...but than she did TDP.. lol. She def improved in her screen presence and confidence. Because Konkena was always impressive I guess I have to go with her...but I don't know they are both talented.

Loved Konkana in Life in Metro, Wake Up Sid and Omkara but Love Vidya more ...actually have seen more of her movies that's why!

Konkana is natural and versatile.

I agree her perf in TDP is overrated... I think ppl were suprised at her boldness and it was a hit... so hence got a lot of attention. Not saying her perf was bad...she was great in it..and deserved all the Bollywood awards. but don't know if it was national award worthy perf.

I liked her in kahani as well... but that perf is not award worthy either. She was great in the last few scenes during the twist.

if I had to pick... I would say she was better in TDP

that said.. I do think Vidya is a great actress and a natural one at that... but some of her perf are overrated

I think the reason her performances are so overrated is because we only have few good actress in Bollywood.. PC and bebo... the only other good actresses... are busy doing commercial films so Vidya has no competition in the kind of roles and films she does... but with heroine trailer and barfi... Vidya has tough competition now.

wow...

i'll go for Konkona...its sad to see how actors like konkona are not given enough opportunities..

not taking anything away from vidya here..she is indeed a wonderful performer...brilliant in bhool bhulaiya, paa, parineeta, paa, ishqiya, tdp, kahaani...way to go vidya.

i want to see konkona do more movies...love her...
