How honest are people on online forums?

So i hear people dissing a lot of masala movies, a lot of contemporary actors and actresses... do they really mean it? I always hear... oh DDLJ sucks its so corny, oh KKHH was a joke... oh DTPH is just plain dumb. Most people won't ever admit that they like an actress like Katrina or SRK or they have ever enjoyed an Akshay kumar movie. Why do people do that? I seriously think that most people are not honest about their likes on such forum. This was pretty evident to me in TMK's review thread... when the very people who used to diss Katrina the most.. and the ones who were over critical of the trailer.. were the ones who watched it in theater. They watched it and they dissed it. Why do people love to hate.. such soft targets like mainstream akki masala, or salman's masala movies or srk's cheesy romantic movies.. And do people fake their hate for such movies.. but secretly watch them and enjoy them?

PS: I have to stay awake to do my CS assignment.. so i needed some entertainment. 😆

Its not about being honest. IF brings the worst of you out. we don't care about celebs all that much in real life, but hearing someone praising your non-fav non stop, you have to show the opposite, you think about that same celeb.

Character is what you are in the dark , as in we are at our ugliest when no one is watching. So, when we hate, abuse and diss at these forums, its the devil in us who indulges in sadistic pleasures because we know that nobody is watching us and the ones who are judging us are never going to see us.

I have to agree with this. Its like the topic i made.. a few days ago.. its all about egos. Its not even about celebrities. I have always been a masala movie lover.. i never hid that.. this one time when i totally dissed masala was when dabangg became a hit. I genuinely disliked dabangg, ready and bodyguard.. other than these movies.. i have always supported cheesy, corny masala and rom-coms. 😆

But i agree about the irritation factor. It irritates you when your arch-enemy praises something just to piss you off.. and then you want to get back at them.. Hardcore cynics ENJOY and EXPLOIT such rivalries and create fights with politics.

About the topic, I agree! People hide their likes because they feel bashing along with the others is apparently cool BUT IT SO IS NOT!

The thing about that is that.. its fun to bash when the celeb is not your fave... but when it comes to your fave.. then its hard to accept and take all the bashing. Same with members.. its fun when a cynic is bashing a member or a fan that you don't care about.. but when they bash the fans or members that you like.. or support then it gets weird. Another thing is that its fun to bash all bollywood movies.. when you mainly watch holly flicks.. or your regional movies.. but for people whose staple diet for movies is bollywood.. the negativity sorta gets to you after a while.
