They are different

Priety i believe has played it safe through out! she went for bubbly roles and did those almost through most of her career.

Kareena on the other hands has had a wild 11 yrs journey so far where she failed, grew, acted immature, acted smart and basically a whole adventurous ride in terms of an actor who showed much improvement over time and went on to do some good variety of roles with great performances!

As of now i would not even think twice before saying kareena but pre-2006 i had a different take on it!

kareena kapoor is the better actress..but preity has the better personality. She is faaar more likable.

Preity was a rather good actress of her time, but for some reason, I could hardly connect with her onscreen persona. Her acting always seemed a bit superficial to me - it was like she never skimmed into the skin of her character. Even though she played a wide range of characters, to me, she was always playing Preity regardless of her role. The bubbly, chirpy, and cuteness that has become synonymous with her personality was almost always present in whatever character she played. And she had the tendency to overact when not under the guidance of a good director (same goes for Kareena even though for Kareena it was even worse!). But she was more consistent and had fewer missteps than Kareena.

Kareena gives like (or rather, used to give) like one good performance and five bad ones, so it's difficult to call her a very good actress as she is very, very inconsistent. However, when she is good, she is very good, and worthy of appreciation. Kareena's 'highs' are higher than Preity's 'highs' I guess. Besides, she never got stereotyped in any specific role - she has done both the bubbly-chirpy roles, as well as the serious, rather artsy roles and done them well. When she did act well, I was engaged by her performance, and felt she got 'into' her character. I never felt she was playing her real life personality or playing the clones of the same characters gazillion of times. And she seems more versatile despite not playing as many types of characters as Preity - because whatever she played, I was convinced of her performance.

I don't know. They are both good actresses. I think I am going to give the edge to Kareena.

Agree wid you😊 Kareena is very talented but at the same time she is a bit snobbish & anyway that is expected as she is a star kid & belongs to kapoor family...

Even the bubbly persona Kareena loves to play onscreen is over-shadowed by Preity in Dil se.

Preity has always been perfect for bubbly characters.

Kareena has done a lot of bubbly/girl next door kind characters prior to 2007 & she has over-acted in 95% of them. If I had to compare today, I'd say Kareena is the better actress but I probably would have not said this had this poll been conducted in say 2005ish or so? Simply because Kareena has spent more than half of her career trying to become a good actress. Preity has always been a decent actress if not the best or exemplary.

Another thing, though both Kareena & Preity are not my favs, nor am I there fans..Preity was much more likable onscreen in my opinion. Kareena has made me cringe in a lot of her films ever since her debut..can't say the same for Preity. However, if I'd have to honestly pick who's the better actress today I'd go for Kareena.

Bebo is only winning by a small margin. Its ironic actually. People like celebs whose fans are not even on the forum. And fans work so hard to defend their faves and post their articles and pics. I think the popularity of a celeb on this forum is inversely proportional to the time their fans spend on defending them. 😆
