So filmfare awards critics best actress for mediocre performances? What a diss to the award show.

I'm more than happy for Vidya's success. But its peopel like you who JUST wanna pull down Kareena when you cannot accept her good performances 😛

Bet you you havent seen HALF of them. Not Chameli, Not Dev, Not Yuva, Not Omkara. MY BET 😛

If its so easy, I'd like to see any actress, INCLUDING VIDYA BALAN, take on ALL the roles I posted above. Yes, all of them.

Jab We Met, Golmaals, the commercial full on masala stuff, and also chamelis, omkaras devs yuvas, etc..

well these performances are equally tough, infact tougher than larger than life roles! any one else at her place would have gone so over the top be it JWM or even golmaal 3 where i found kareena absolutely adorable! just coz its funny or not larger than life doesnt mean it doesnt have scope for performance.

please let's not make it a pure vidya vs kareena topic...especially when we have a reason to rejoice for Vidya's success, better back off inspite getting bitter on both the actresses who have extreme potential in their own ways...vidya has recognized it fully...and kareena needs to...

tbh anyone can do the roles kareena did till now. even vidya or pc could have been a better geet than kareena, you never know. vidya is defintely the best actress we have now. i saw bodyguard & ra one and bebo was not even that great. vidya chooses her roles wisely and she is great actress. right now vidya is believed to be the best actress and katrina the most popular so its evident that bebo must be feeling insecure.

Yes Vidya is such a pro. THa'ts why she was hailed for Kismat Konnection and Heyy Babyyy.

Appreciate VIdya, but there's no need to jump on the 'Lets not pull down every other actress, oh look Kareena Kapoor, bandwagon"

It is AMAZING the VIdya's getting noticed for her Kahaani's and The DIrty Pictures and Paas. Full props to her!

But its also unfortunate that Kareena did Chameli at the wrong time. That Omkara was curshed in the Yash Raj fluffy candy romance years and no one remembers Dolly Mishra or Aaliya from Dev. Its unfortunate that Tabu gave smashing performances one after the other during the 90s, and was overlooked. Urmila came, gave us Bhoot, Ek Hasina Thi, Pinjar, and walked away without aknowledgment.

I for one am glad that Vidya's changed the rules of the game. So now actresses like Kareena can finally go do what they are here to do...acting. And not fear constant pressure ot give hits coz audiences are willing to give different scripts and women oriented roles a chance.

It took an extended era of Katrian Kaif for audiences to realize, hey btw...I wanna see an actress act for once. Great timing Vidya! When Kareena adn the rest started chasing commercial success to go with audience's mindset, she came out and changed the game around.

Now turn around and run the other direction Bebo. You know you can act, so lets show em

If Vidya was part of nonsense movies like heyy baby and kismat konnection then kareena's list will go on forever (you can add her previous four release to it)

i will always cheer vidya for coming long way without the help from the industry or being part of the biggest bollywood clan.

the actress you mentioned is not consistent as vidya. her last four releases were simply amazing.

and its my right to reply however i want to. if i need to compare, bash anyone i will do it.

Which is why I feel like she's not insecure because she doesnt need to be. She's given amazing performances before and the industry knows it. She doesnt need to prove herself to anyone to get work or ensure good business for her films.

Insecurity would occur if you feel that someone is better than you and can do something you cant do. For example, Katrina Kaif giving hits. Kareena couldnt do that, and had NEVER done that. She got insecure, and went the Katrina Kaif route to prove herself.

Aren't we all insecure in some stage of our lives... It could be while growing up or while in school/college or in the work force or with her love lives... It is one of the human traits just like jealousy.

Its just that its much more visible amongst these celebs. Their lives are magnified all the time and the scrutiny is much more.

The competition is cut throat and its natural to have a sense of insecurity... All the celebs have insecurity. The only difference is, its obvious in some and not so obvious in others.
