i agree with @desigal here, many actresses gave powerful performances but they couldn't acheive what they deserved...Urmila shined in so many movies...just finished watching KAUN, how ridiculously a movie like this got unnoticed...why the time was bad...kareena too couldn't get much with Chameli becoz the time didn't support her...so in tht case Vidya has been lucky tht now people are opening up for more genres...really kahaani's success surprises me, i expected an above average but never a hit status of course...the lady has defintely got something...but that doesn't make others less talented. i never liked Kareena becoz of her over PR and her useless roles .. but the lady has potential. she was defintely worth watching in Chameli. Now Coming to insecurity...everyone has it...big deal.

Kareena did win best actress critic for Chameli, which is weird because a few critics did criticism her performance, I myself felt that her acting was not good in that movie

why u r finding it strange.😆...its most news for most of the jobless media..to take over and write articles...they keep looking on twitter, asking every celeb abt kahaani's success, and there u go..its a part and parcel of the industry which i simply hate...these people don't take much time to pull vidya down if she gives one or two heavily flops...whether its kareena or vidya's case...too much overboard praises are hard to digest and to overhype the person who is working hard to make a mark.

and Desigal u may find it strange but i am finding it normal...not too days have gone by i was so pissed off when every body was doing kareena kareena here, there i too find injustice becoz kareena's roles were no worth for such praise...and today in this topic i still feel tht some injustice is going on as everyone has taken on kareena. and becoz of whom - vidya , mostly people take the one having more weight...glad i believe in staying honest. I would be the one cheering for kareena if she really pulls off in her roles, becoz now we want to see WOMEN PERFORM i dont have much expectations from deepika sonam or whateever..these 30 plus women's time has arrived to forget box office crap and perform kyunki kal ho na ho

i will always cheer vidya for coming long way without the help from the industry or being part of the biggest bollywood clan.

the actress you mentioned is not consistent as vidya. her last four releases were simply amazing.

Agree with that, I've yet to see Kareena do a meaningful role, carry a film on her own shoulders post 2007. The only time she managed to do so was with JWM which is over 5 years old.

Not to forget, the Shahid-Kareena split buzz benefited the movie.

Be it 3Idiots, Golmaal, Bodyguard, Ra1, or any other movie, Careena was replaceable in all those movies, none of these movies worked because of Kareena, they worked due the respective male leads.

many critics including Taran adarsh did not think her performance in Chameli was good, if u do not believe me, search it up!

True. But with Kareena it's like we're waiting for her to grow up for over a decade now, and still all we see r minimal changes, seriously when is she going to grow up? It's not like she's some 20 year old newbie, she's nearly 32 years old, been in the industry for over a decade, holding onto her 'position' for quiet some time. Someone should tell her to grow up already.

Lol 😆, that was a misunderstanding that got cleared, other factors also played a part in the enmity of raveena/Karisma, raveena cursed Karisma's mother on the sets, and ajay disliked raveena for some reason! I am sorry but everyone knows how insecure kareena is, she says so herself that she can never be friends with a competing actress!
