I think most replaces candyfloss / comedic / eye-candy roles with 'commercial', as those paper-thin roles are the ones that get all the commercial successes. Vidya sucks at anything to do with these kinda roles, and she doesn't have a very good comic-timing either.

BB had Akshay + it was a comedy, so it worked. Her performance was near-universally panned.

Hmm...I dunno. Priyanka looks fake in absolutely positive roles (the sati-savitri-unrealistic-roles), while Vidya has done a decent job in both Parineeta and Ishqiyaa where she played diametrically opposite characters. I don't know if Vidya can do a full-fledged negative role like Priyanka did in Aitraaz. At the same time, I am also unsure if Priyanka can play a character like Vidya did in Parineeta. Both are kinda limited, though Vidya's recent negative / gray-shaded roles gives her an edge over Priyanka.

Vidya is more consistent, and probably has had better roles, but Priyanka has always emerged out as the stronger actress to me. It's like if I look at specific scenes of their movies (rather than watch the entire movie), I'd like Priyanka's performance more, and not Vidya's. Vidya has had better films with better written roles, so probably she came out as the winner, while Priyanka had to suffer with shoddily written scripts (SKM) or not-so-good films (Fashion, even Aitraaz and Kaminey at parts).

But it's a very tough choice. I could have easily picked Priyanka as to me she's done both negative and positive roles, but Vidya's recent ventures (namely Ishqiyaa and TDP) made me rethink... hmm...

I like Priyanka loads more though. Vidya is like maha boring, both onscreen and off-screen. Priyanka can be annoying, obnoxious, complete fake and what not, but she's always hot and happening. 😆

Priyanka for me anyday. I think she can act and has a good screen presence at the same time. Vidya she can act very well but I find her very boring onscreen. From my perspective I think Priyanka is much ahead of Vidya and has done better roles than her. Vidya IMO just started strong roles like Ishqiya and TDP etc..

what PC does best is turning on a HORNY attitude with AKSHAY kumar anytime..and sleeping with a black guy in fashion, the lady never really got great reviews in her career, even kareena is ahead of her...now if u want to look Acting + box office. Vidya stands ahead by a HUGE MARGIN...i agree with people who thinks vidya is a bit boring on screen and i think she knows tht herself too dats why she took a bold step taking up the dirty picture...and showed tht she is entertaining as well...

Vidya is miles ahead in terms of acting in comparison to Priyanka.

Let's analyze more. 😆

Better expressions - Priyanka
Better dialogue delivery - Both EXCELLENT, but I have a soft spot for Priyanka's voice (though Vidya's voice is very good too) so her. :P
Better filmography: Vidya
More consistent: Vidya
More versatile: um...
