@Desu, I don't think I have seen the second trailer...lemme catch up on it! Btw, why is the buzz on AV so low? Its a huge film...with two big stars and what sounds like a terrific ensemble cast! Are they deliberately going low key on the promotion's?

Oh ok...I remember now about Ram Kapoor.

Btw about the buzz...you find it low? Did last week's drama pass by you? Poor Saif!

Poppy, I asked Saif the same thing, and he seemed like he was REALLY reluctant to promote with Kareena. He told me that its not an advantage that he and kareena are in this film together and he doesnt wanna bore people with their pairing, so they're promoting seprately on purpose. But htey'll start promoting together the week before the release.

As for overall promotions, Saif said in an interview that he doesnt believe in going crazy for promotions. That some promotions are fine to spraed awareness, but after that, audiences will watch the film if they wanna watch it. And promos should be enough.

Personally, I think that he should promote with Kareena. Boring, annoying or whatever, the two ARE a high profile star couple that grab headlines AND they are both huge stars individually as well.

@kshreya, I meant that there seems to be no Television promotions, interviews, roadshows type of things for the film, like most movies these days seem to have! Normally these days, you have actors promoting their films super-aggressively...especially through serials and reality shows ect!

Btw, just saw the second trailer...Yes, it is very good!😃 I was ROFL on Ram Kapoor dialouge😆...could hardly recongize him, though!😲

The ending was super-cute...'Aap juice lengi?'😆

The film seems like a desi James Bond, only with some humor and colour! Saif looks dashing...though, I can bet that no Raw agent will be anywhere near Saif' looks and style in real life!😆

Its so much better when serious films don't take themselves too seriously! I think AV will be an excellent watch! Am surely going to see it!

I dont have Indian channels, so I have no clue how the coverage of promos is on tv.

I know they're not doing many events. But I have a feeling that Saif will speed up suddenly before release.

So far, they've only had two promotional events.

Saif at the launch of the first promo, and Kareena at the launch of the mujra.

I REALLY wanna see them promoting together. But they're not giving me any Saifeena 🥺

@Desu, almost every film these days have cross-promotions via Television! Like for example, they will get either one of the lead stars to appear for a small cameo in any one of the popular soaps...for eg. Vidya Balan came in Bade Acche Lagte Hain while promoting for The Dirty Picture...similarly, Salman promoted his last film through Big Boss ect. ect! Even Aamir and SRK promote through Radio Prograames, TV soaps ect!

Saif and Kareena should promote the film together...however good a film is, it needs to make an impact before it is released, so that it has a lot of curiosity value!

On the other hand, one reason why they are not promoting together could be because the film is a thriller and they don't want to confuse the audience by appearing together and then people assuming it to be some kind of a romantic story!

Btw, there is an interview on Rediff of the pretty Iranian girl who appears with Kareena in the Mujra! She keeps talking about Saif in the interview...😆

PS: I think there will be some solid pre-release promotion a few days before the release! After Agneepath, AV is the next big release of the year!

As for the promotions, I hate so much of the over-promotions. Especially when they make appearances on serials (though thankfully it hasn't happened in the very few I watch.) I'm glad the AV team isn't going that route.

But on the other hand, I know it's important. But for my own selfish reasons, fighting a loosing battle, I'm relieved.
