The celb whose name I stole and twitted on his behalf has 5000+ followers .. It was fun until I was asked how 'my' operation went? Upon search 'i' had an STD.. genital herpes And it was too embarrassing even as a fake twit 😆

oh plz ... siddu is no star in south by any standards. he jus got one upcoming release in south. the reason he's popular is twitter is , he's got a motor mouth and shoots off sm pseudo-intellectual garbage evry now and then. he thinks he's sm kind of aamir khan of south . he has an opinion on evrythng and managed 2 put his foot in the mouth several times. infact, telugu media completly banned him coz he seems 2 hav compard th journos with pimps. he practically had to arrange a press meet to apologize and groveled thm to cover his movies.

Hmm didn't know much about the 'foot in mouth' comments - care to elaborate? (and i don't mean this as an attack. I genuinely didn't know about this and would like to get a bit more info, I don't follow the telugu media)

He is quite big though. Like you said he acts like the aamir khan of the South - Several people buy into it. Not to mention i'd say he's the only South star right now who has a significant North fanbase. Even more than Maddy. He's popular with the younger generation and seems to take part in hipper more contemporary films that don't entirely suck.

He's a consistent actor - the only two really shit films he's done is that awful disney-telugu mashup fantasy film and aata. So just career wise - his popularity and appreciation is deserved. And by no means is he a gigantic 'star' like Arya or Vijay. But he's well known and quite popular.

Siddharth goes off about a lot of things. He got pissed that fans called out the rape and subsequent marriage in Striker, then later tried to even it out with some outrage about 'Love the Way you Lie.'

He's gone off on a bunch of geo-political stuff, but whatever-- I don't care that he does that.

I'm also in no way a fan of his. I don't really care for most of his films, and have only seen a handful. But I do know he has a lot of people that like him in the blogosphere--even if they ignore his not-so-pretty side he's fully displayed on twitter and other media. Go through Bollywood and South Indian Film blogs, especially the ones by Non South Asians, and you'll see how much he's adored as a lead actor in romantic films.

masakali, there is no doubt he's a gud actor. and he chooses gud scripts too. but popularity wise, he has zero mass fan base. and as u know, in south the classy fan base is miniscule.

he doesn't have gud connections bcoz of his big mouth. he once commentd on telugu journos tht thy

wud pimp their wives 2 increase their TRP's.(which is true but very foolish to say it on twitter). he was banned by th media. he lost many projects bcoz of ths as the media refusd to cover the audio functions or any events of his movies. whn he was dating shruti hassan he tried to force th producers to take her as his heroine but since he doesn't hav th clout to demand ths he lost sm movies.
