No. She should rather offer her comments on something she is knowledgeable about. We make fun of Sonam when she pretends to know about Victorian writers (at least I do). Same treatment for Vidya. Vidya as a celebrity (and hence has earned the right to be judged, we haven't) should keep her opinions to things she knows about or else she will be mocked like the rest of them. No one is asking her to shut up. People are just finding her opinion on this ridiculous. Equal opportunity bashers that we are. 😃

I didn't like Kate Winslet Perfromance in the Reader either, She was more of a supporting character to me we barley get to see her On-Screen.

Isn't there a difference between a celeb pontificating on a subject and a random Internet peep blowing hot air on the internet? A celeb is not a common person.. she gets adulation in spades as well as scrutiny in truck-loads. That's why they have responsibility to be politically correct and innocuously generic when they air their opinions. You don't air your ill-conceived thoughts with the wantonness of a general Joe. If you do, you only set yourself up for ridicule.. a consequence that we as nameless, faceless internet junta don't have to bear. It's like saying that my saying "Bush was a moron" and Obama saying "Bush was a moron" carries equal weight and relevance.

It would have been one thing if Vidya was somewhere in the same level with even the most modestly acclaimed fashion divas in India, leave alone of the world. But, when you yourself have the most egregious fashion sense possibly in the whole of Bollywood, pompous statements on the fashion sense of Gwyneth and JLo are not only laugh-worthy, they are downright ridiculous.

^^^I see your point but I see nothing wrong in it. She is entitled to her views and allowed to express it as long as its not harming anyone. If bashing her for it makes people on this board feel good then so be it. The situation IMO would be different if she was a colleague of theirs. I see what she said more like a fan comment.

LOL KShreya. Except for Shiney Ahuja and Salman, I don't think any of the BW stars have ever done anything to harm anyone. But, that doesn't stop us for being on a 24/7 bashing spree for everything and anything.. starting from wrinkles and Botox to personal relationships and private decisions of these stars. We must be the epitome of being the happiest bunch of people in the whole of Internet, if bashing is supposed to make us happy.. 😆
