Months not year's! I want to see her in more films I really like the choices she's making in her career these days I loved all of her films even Heyy Babyy.

On second though, Relda and Dexter are probably right. But I think the bigger blame lies with the interviewer who asked her opinion. Just because she is the hot favorite of the two right now, doesn't mean she is the best authority on fashion we have today. But since she is not part of Hollywood, her comment is kinda like a foreign actor commenting on Bollywood celebs.

As much as I love Kate Winslet and think very highly of her as an actress, I too wasn't very fond of her performance in The Reader, or to be honest, any of her recent performances. Post Little Children, her performances have started to become extremely mannered, screechy and bland. I think she was on her best form pre-Titanic: Heavenly Creatures, Hamlet, Sense and Sensibility and mostly Jude are some of her greatest screen performances, and daresay, some of the best performances I've ever seen. Of this decade, I only truly like Little Children, the only time she slipped into her character fully. She was good in The Reader, but there was something missing in the act too. Sure she was good, but it could have been so much better. Her last act was a complete failure: the makeup was laughable, and she couldn't pull of the old-woman act convincingly. She was very good in the court scenes in the middle act of the film, though. And another scene that stuck out was when the boy asks her to read something in the menu, and she has that blurry look on her eyes; she nailed the illiterate part. I am in two minds about the performance actually. Someday I think it was very good, some other day, just decent to above average. 😳 Maybe I am over-analyzing?

oh please, even if she was asked she should know how to play with answers and could have been a little vague knowing her weak fashion sense but the way she is criticising its like she herself wanted to give that information out! they r celebs and they r never that rational to answer xyz what ever is asked frm them, they are asked from relationships to surgeries to what not, do they answer it all! vidya could have easily given a bit polite and vague answer but she went into such great depth and IMO that is un-ethical, if it has happened with her it doesnt mean she does it with others too and that too with hollywood starlets who rule the world of fashion!!

I don't think anybody Bashing is good here, I'm just 🤣 at all the comments right now.

LOL KShreya. Except for Shiney Ahuja and Salman, I don't think any of the BW stars have ever done anything to harm anyone. But, that doesn't stop us for being on a 24/7 bashing spree for everything and anything.. starting from wrinkles and Botox to personal relationships and private decisions of these stars. Nah, I detested her in Revolutionary Road. That's one of the few performance of hers that I can't absolutely stand! She was so OTT and felt absolutely unconvincing. She was good in some scenes, but overall, I just couldn't connect with her performance there at all. Like I said, post Little Children, I can't find a single memorable performance from hers. If she deserved a best leading actress award, then it should have been for Jude (for which she wasn't even nominated) or Little Children.

Vidya wouldn't know anything about high fashion if it came and hit her on her face and made a permanent residence there. Heyy baby still continues to be the fodder for jokes on bad fashion in Award shows. If she were in USA, she would have been on the What Not To Wear show on a repeat cycle. On second thoughts, I think Stacey and Tim would have upped and left when faced with the herculean task of doing a fashion make-over on Vidya. Which moronic news agency thought that it would be a great idea to ask Vidya about her thoughts on Oscar night fashion? And to top it all, she is dissing the looks of JLo and Angelina for good measure. It seems that along with a huge tummy she has gained a big head for her upcoming movie.

Fabulous, there is not one word I do not agree with...It looks like success has gone into Vidya's head...I used to like her...but now I'm put off by her.
