I don't think she's on her way out yet. Despite being a part of of some super successful films this past year she really didn't have much to do in ANY of her films and I think everyone will agree when I say ANYONE could've pulled off her roles in Bodyguard or Ra. 1.

I think we'll see her back on the nomination list come 2013 for Heroine or something else.

The simple answer is that she wasn't good this year. I think it's clear that Katrina's performance in MBKD was much more meatier than both Kareena's roles combined. Sorry but I don't think Kareena deserved any nominations, especially after what Vidya pulled out in TDP and Kalki in The Girl with the Yellow Boots--still think she should be applauded for this one.

I wanna believe that these award shows are beginning to nominate talent-worthy performances and contenders that deserve to be there. FF def got flak for snubbing Udaan despite Udaan winning most the major awards at other award shows. I guess BW is beginning to get serious about their awards--and I say it's about damn time!

I agree with Desu. She's not snubbed for her equations with ppl or b/c she's about to get married. She def has some noticeable projects forthcoming, but I do think Katrina is getting preferable treatment due to her new equation with the Chopras.

I think Katrina deserves her nomination for MBKD. She had a lot of screentime in that film, so if it did well, she deserves some accolades for it. We konw its not Imran Khan who carried the film on his shoulders.

As for Bebo, I wanna see what she can do now. I'm sick and tired of her just enjoying BO success that doesnt do shit for her.

but I totally disagree with giving her that respect via a best actress nomination.

hadd hoti hain. she had screentime, but she still acted pretty crap.

sure she's improving, getting better at expressions and dialog delivery, I'm all for her improvement,

but that does not mean that she automatically qualifies to be in the running for an award.

And TBH, Filmfare is just pissing on its splendor. It used to be such a respected awards show...

They could've easily given that very nomination to someone like Kalki Koechlin for The Girl In Yellow Boots.

On the other hand, they're trying to be all ethereal by blessing Swara Bhaskar with a nomination for Tanu Weds Manu when she had like 6 dialogs.

Yes, she was great, but seriously, a nomination for that?

But this BO succes is what made her the Number 1 actress of 2011... Any amount of critical success/appreciation or creative satisfaction will not make up for the BO success... This is what everyone thrives for...

Look at Vidya today, One blockbuster is all it took to catapult her to the big league... Same with Kareena too, Those two movies made her reach the top this year... I do agree that the genres were different and the content of the movies were diff... But how frequently do movies like TDP come by in Bollywood...

And again they could be a hit or a miss... These mindless big budget movies are what rakes in the moolah and its no surprise that she signed up for them...

Good that she has Heroine and Talaash up this year, both movies that would explore her immense potential and talent...

She did not do anything that was award worthy in 2011...do not think it has anything to do a with a snub by anybody!

Hmm...maybe. I dunno.

Lets see with the coming year. It didnt help that despite being the biggest hits of the year, both Ra.One and Bodyguard were terrible films.

Atleast 3 Idiots was amazing. Golmaal 3 also super fun for being a slapstick comedy.

But BG was a terrible masala film with and Ra.One a terrible sci fi

it does not matter who attends and who does not..as I said if that was the case FF would not give any awards to Aamir!

Honestly, she didn't deserve any nominations this year. Yes Kareena was a part of a big hit like Bodyguard but overall she didn't have much to do in that film or in Ra One.

she was robbed. Just like other actresses. She was praisng Salman, Aamir, and last year she talked on Awards being rigged. Anyhow, they are. Last year Salman and debangg swept the awards he snubbed them all so they did not nominate him along with Kareena. Aamir snubbed them long ago hence they snubbed him. SRK kisses up to them jumps like a baby to grab an award, respects the awards they gave to him like candy.

Moral: Kiss up to award members and you get a toy. lol
