Im not a big fan of Katrina but you have got to hand it to her. Katrina rules the box office, she is the only female star (now probably followed by Vidya) who consistently can give an opening on her own.

Without Katrina both MBKD and TMk would have tanked very badly. Katrina has the ability to guarantee box office success for even serious themed movies like New York and Rajneeti, remember how Kareena's Kurbaan tanked? Or for that matter Deepika's aarakshan?

We will see Kareena's saleability when EMAET, releases.

^ You're right Pragya, EMAET will actually say a lot about kareena's BO power. Her lead co-star is Imran Khan who quite honestly no-one REALLLYYY cares about right now, so it'll be up to kareena to make the numbers go up. So far I think the movie looks fairly stupid but I am interested in seeing how it fairs.

Definitely Katrina...

Katrina's presence in the movie can make a trashy or a mediocre movie into a semihit/hit... On the contrary Kareena needs to have a superstar opposite her or the movie really has to be good for it to be a hit...

Bebo was never known for her boxoffice pull. Bebo, priyanka, preity and rani somewhat fall in the same category. They are good actresses who have starred in successful movies, but they don't have any significant boxoffice pull.

Sridevi, Madhuri and Katrina really have drawn audiences with their own power and can be called profitable, others have starred in hit movies and can act but people don't necessarily go to see movies only for them.
