I agree. From my personal experience, I have found Desis a bit too sensitive and very easily offended. Perhaps cuz we tend to be a bit too emotional and take things seriously.

I think we do tend to take ourselves way too seriously. How many decent stand up comedians do we have in Asia? Whereas in UK stand up comedy is as popular as say going and seeing a musical.

Leave the case of Asia lets take this own forum for example. I made a joke about Hrithik's vein and a group of people were seriously pissed.

fan groups repeatedly get pissed off when we make fun of their favourites, we cant take a single word againt our favourites.

fair enough, but stereotyping a group of people on the basis of their eating habits is disrespectful in my my humble opinion. Stereotyping is quite different from humor, isnt it? Eating habit are very personal and sensitive and Im sure no one likes to be shown as being uncouth. I can understand the humor around accents and even dress code, but eating habits, religion, faith, and disability is a no go for me. but I understand the threshold can be different for others.
