Biopic on Amitabh

This could be the best opportunity to get to know megastar Amitabh Bachchan. Filmmaker Ram Madhwani is back with his 33 minute long documentary on Amitabh Bachchan. This film had been specially made for the New York film festival held at the Lincoln Center last year.

The film is meant for an international audience that needs to know who really is Amitabh Bachchan. The film throws light on the unknown facets of his life that probably were known only to a close few. The film provides a context to the personality that Amitabh Bachchan is.

People like Salman Rushdie have contributed to the film. It presents him in a different light from what he looks and sounds like in media. The film will be screened at MAMI 2006. It will be followed by a workshop with Ram Madhwani and a panel of other eminent directors. Madhawani made an impressive debut with Let's Talk at Mumbai Academy of Moving Images (MAMI) 2002.
