Chunkey Panday - guest appearance in DON

Chunkey Pandey's career is on a roll. The actor has got a formidable line up of films with the best of directors and is quite excited about the way his career is going. After being recently signed for Subhash Ghai's APNA SAPNA MONEY MONEY previous title (MONEY MONEY MONEY), being directed by Sangeeth Sivan, in which he plays the role of a Nepali don, Chunkey has landed an interesting role in Feroz Nadiadwala's forthcoming film, FOOL AND FINAL. "It is the role of a diamond thief who dies mid-way through the film without leaking out the secret of the stolen diamonds but his dead body is retained till the end of the film for various reasons," he chuckles.

As if that's not enough, Farhan Akhtar has signed him to make a guest appearance in DON. However he refuses to divulge any further details about the role. "It is a big surprise and I have been advised to keep it strictly confidential," he says.

Currently, he is looking forward to the release of Ram Gopal Varma's DARWAZA BANDH KARO, in which he plays the role of a mysterious driver who keeps the suspense element alive throughout the film. "It is been a pleasure working with Ramu once again after 'D'. I owe this new phase in my career entirely to him. He's the one who brought me back," he says.

Besides this he has tied up exclusively with Sahara's FILMI CHANNEL, for being their official brand ambassador. "They were convinced that I would be the ideal actor for the 'Filmi' texture of the channel. After all no one can carry off a pink shirt so well as I can," he smiles. Chunkey's television appearance comes years after he had last anchored the popular SUPERHIT MUQABLA. "There was a very different perception of television at that point of time. Today television has become indispensable to us stars. If you are not on television, you cannot really reach out to your audiences," he says.
