Billa I definitely agree that the Khans are still unbeatable..the fan following they have no one else does currently..the craze for them is unparalled. Audience will still prefer a Khan movie over other actors...they're at a point when it's almost a crime for them to give a flop. 😕 If any of their upcoming movies are clear flops, then I can't even imagine the kind of hoopla that would be made? I guess we saw the start with Ra.One and the kind of analysis EVERYONE did with how much money it made, how much got recovered, how much didn't bla bla bla...it was shockign honestly..kissi bhi film ki flop ya hit status se itna obsession maine kabhi nahi dekha honestly...I guess only a Khan movie can warrant such things..

Just one small correction, DDLJ isn't SRK's debut but it is the film that catapulted him into stardom :)

Hrithik...seriously the craze around him was huge. It really died down with Kites and Guzaarish but I can't forget the hoopla around him and his looks in 2006 with Dhoom 2..even when he debuted, KHNP...HUGE. It opened with SRK's PBDHH I believe and well we all know what happened..I don't really think he'll be able to top the Khans now but hey I could be proved wrong.

Ajay...it amazes me how he's worked his way to the big league..always considered the classy actor whose movies you would watch for satisfaction from acting and now they make so much money..but I really prefer him in roles like Zakhm than his 100 crore Golmaal series :(

Ya Sorry, i 4got Deewaana, now see how huge DDLJ is, i couldn't count Deewana as his Debut movie, as only this movie made him what we call "Raaton Raat Huge SuperStar"... Even 1 movie i would like 2 mention "DARR", This Movie is not as big hit as DDLJ, but this movie made SRK talk of the town during the Release, everyone talking how he acted, his clothes, his style... 4get yash chopra, juhi, or even Sunny Deol... ppl were going crazy for "k k k k kiran"...

i was going through some old magazine articles n paper stuff, read about "DIL" & "Baaghi" kind of movies at that time, College Youth going Crazy over KHANS Films...

No no I totally understood why you put DDLJ..it pretty much changed his life and gave him his USP--the romantic image...it did exactly what MPK and QSQT did for Salman and Aaamir respectively..just the debut bit might mislead people :)

Honestly I think Darr and Baazigar made SRK's life. DDLJ gave him superstardom...But DDLJ might not have even happened if he failed miserably before, especially becase he was an outsider and not even very good looking at that...Adi wanted Tom Cruise in it..he wanted to make an Indo-foreigner love story 😕 Can you imagine Tom Cruise as Raj Malhotra?? 😆

But yeah with Darr.. to walk away with all the credit/get all the craze in a movie that had "Dhai kilo ka haat" Sunny Paaji is no small thing..I think Salman, Aamir, Ajay, Sunny were all supposed to do Darr but didn't want to do a negative role?

My mom tells me Dil was very popular! Jo Jeeta Wahi Sikander, HAHK, people were quite crazy about their films..for many people, if they name their fav films from the 90's, at least 1 Khan film will be there..

Deewana was more of a Rishi Kapoor and Divya Bharti movie but it was a huge hit. Songs were super duper hit. SRK was great as a debutant but Rishi Kapoor got all the sympathy in that movie.

I agree Darr was the movie which put SRK into another level.One of the best work from SRK.

This line sums up everything for Srk, how can i 4get Baazigar... u know even Srk was hesistant for Darr, he was doing Anjaam at same time, also he did baazigar, -ve shade, so at 1st he was kind of uncomfortable with role, even ask 2 make some changes, but yash chopra later convince him.

My Elder Bro still have Jo Jeeta wohi Sikander yellow sweater which aamir wear with sky blue jeans... huge craze... even he is having the same black leather jacket which salman wore in MPK, lots of brand stickers...

KHANS Enigma is untouchable, love them or hate them, but they have given a huge raise to Bollywood Industry in 21 Years.

I think I'd say Ranbir Kapoor and Akshay Kumar (used to) and Ajay (depends on what movie he's doing). I mean are we talking about the opening numbers of a solo movie or their box office run?

Is it? I didn't know ki he was hesitant for Baazigar as well..but baazigar he was anti-hero, he had the audience's sympathy..in darr, anjaam toh he was totally negative...He even didn't want to do DDLJ at all because he thought the romantic movie totally went against his negative image and it wouldn't suit him..par Adi and Yash chopra convinced him and the rest is history 😆

Hahaha cute :) Salman's FRIENDS cap was very popular too!..

They have accomplished a lot...hard to imagine the industry without them..😳 Dunno what its going to be like in 5 years..when they're 50+..things will probably have changed by then...

@Himani agree with Darr bringing him to stardom, whereas DDLJ carried the longest record as having collected the most money till I think Ghanjhi (Aamirs movie came out), and presently 3 idiots hold the record based on what I have read

Other than Khans Akshay Kumar and Ajay.

Yet, the Khans rule overall no one can match them. And Salman and Aamir as we know hold top ATBB's.

Hi happy to see ya, but I disagree. Akshay Kumar in desi boyz proved he was the USP in the movie. Agree its not solo movie as John was there. But according to critics and Audience he was sole reason most went to see it.

But ya his Khaldi series, then singh is king, Namaste London, etc were his movies. In Most movies he is the one the movies rest in so would not say Used to hes still got once upon a time in mumbai, etc..Plus his movies despite their tag get great openings.

On Ranbir, yes rockstar was and yes I guess Id agree to some extent. But hit wise other than rockstar, he really hasn't. (but topic I guess is not on BO)

He as been critically appreciated, in the movies though.

Ajay on the other hand I d say yes. Singham being the latest.

I d even given Emraan credit on having able to open a solo movie ..example Murder 2
