Sameera jumps from a height of 1,500 ft

Svelte Sameera Reddy is pertrified of heights. Imagine her fear when she was asked to jump from a height of 1,500 ft.

"I had to do this shot for Sachin Bajaj's Naqsha. He told me that I'd have to do my own stunts. My heart sank in my boots. I didn't know what to do. Also present was Viviek Oberoi who was enjoying my dilemma. But when he learnt that I was really scared, Viviek and Sachin gave me full support and encouragement. I reached the top and jumped! After the shot was completed, I felt on top of the world. I had never in my wildest dream imagined that I could perform my own stunts. But when I did this I felt like I had won a race," she laughed.

Besides Naqsha, Sameera can't stop raving about her Bengali film Kaalpurush. The film had Buddhadeb Dasgupta as its director. "It is a milestone film," says Sameera. "I play a very deglamourised role. I have not used any makeup or jewellery. I am playing a double role in the film," she adds. The film stars Rahul Bose in the lead and will be showcased at the Berlin Film Festival. "That's a privilege and I intend to personally attend the festival," she said.
