As Sharmila Tagore prepares to come together with daughter Soha Ali Khan in Aparna Sen's "Jewellery Box", she will also be seen sharing screen space with star son Saif Ali Khan in Vidhu Vinod Chopra's "Eklavya".
Confirming the familial confluence, Saif says: "Yes, Amma does have a role in 'Eklavya' but we don't have any scenes together."
This is not the first time he is working together with the enchantress of the 1960s and 70s in a film.
"Some people believe we are coming together for the first time. Firstly, I have no scenes with her. Secondly, we've already shared space in a film before. She played my mom in my first film 'Aashiq Awara'. But again we had no scenes together. Her role finished before I came into the plot."
Saif isn't the first star-son to have the privilege of having his mom adorn the screen with him. Years ago the legendary Nutan had consented to play her son Mohnish Behl's mother in a tacky film called "Yeh Kaisa Farz".
The amazing Jaya Bachchan played her real-life role to Abhishek Bachchan in a Bengali film "Des".
