Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham may have been a hit, but its popular screen pair Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor had vowed not to work together after the film. The relationship between the two was affected adversely when media reports on their alleged affair during the making of K3G, made the rounds. Hrithik decided to keep himself away from such controversies and avoided projects with Kareena. Thus for five years, the two haven't been seen on screen together. However, finally the cold war between Hrithik and Kareena seems to have ended. Zoya Akhtar has succeeded in bringing the 'most-wanted' couple back on screen for her forthcoming debut venture. For some time now, Kareena has been on Zoya's wish list, but she was hesitant about signing the film. When contacted, Kareena says, "Yes, I have signed Zoya's film with Hrithik Roshan. Hrithik is a very good actor and I am looking forward to working with him once again." They have worked together in Subhash Ghai's Yaadein, Sooraj Barjatiya's Main Prem Ki Diwani and Karan Johar's K3G. Though Kareena has been vocal about her desire to work with Hrithik again, Hrithik had, so far, maintained a silence. When contacted this time, however, he seemd ready to break his silence on Kareena. "I have no problem working with Bebo," he says. When Zoya approached me with the script, I loved the basic concept and agreed to be part of her film. I don't interfering in my director's work, so I neither recommend nor reject my female lead. Zoya expressed her desire to cast Kareena for the role. I was absolutely okay with the idea," says Hrithik. "It will be a nice experience working with her once again," he continues. "People liked us in Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham, we both had good roles and some nice songs in it. However, I think chemistry between co-stars on screen can onlywork if you have the right director at the helm. I think Zoya is extremely talented and will do a good job." What about news of their relationship being affected due to rumours about their alleged affair? "I don't pay much heed to such rumours," he says. "Besides, I am a professional actor, I have no qualms about acting with anyone provided I am convinced about my role in a film." Both actors, however, remain tight-lipped about their role in the film. "It's too early to talk about the film right now," says Hrithik. "I will complete Dhoom 2 first, then I'll start shooting for Ashutosh Gwarikar's Akbar Jodha. I think work for Zoya's film will only start by the end of this year." |
